As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Blueprints for Learning relies on fee-based services, grants, donations, sponsorships, and fundraising dollars to continue delivering high quality child care and child care education to the greater Spokane community. Our Federal EIN is 91-2160074.
Longitudinal studies indicate that the foundation of a person’s success in life is formed within the blueprint of the first five years. The “quality” in “quality child care and education” is the teachers who work with children and families during this time. Despite the importance of this developmental period, even those with advanced degrees in Early Childhood Education who work in early child care and education programs are paid one-third the hourly wage of their counterparts in the public education system.
Your funding makes this possible. Students enrolled in our CDA + Mentoring program pay one quarter the cost of delivering this program. This keeps it affordable to individuals who work in positions that pay less than $15/hour, even with an advanced degree from a four-year college.
How You Can Improve Outcomes for Spokane’s Children
Over the last 20 years we have also received grant support from Innovia Foundation, Department of Children Youth and Families, Department of Commerce, United Way of Spokane County, Women Helping Women Fund, the Hagan Foundation and the Community Building Foundation. Please consider making a donation to one of these organizations to support quality improvements in the lives of thousands of people in our area.

Additionally, if you are interested in contributing to a non-profit that directly benefits the nurturing and growth of young minds, we invite you to make a donation to Blueprints for Learning. It is because of donors and sponsors like you that we are able to keep our doors open to the public and can continue to have an outstanding staff with exceptional skills for child care and continuing child care education for adults.
